Phoenix Insurance Brokers was thrilled to be a part of the Shakespeare Partners 2018 Pink Tiger Day held on Saturday 12 May at South Oval.
The Curtin University Wesley Football Clubs 8th Annual Pink Tiger Day saw a record crowd come together to raise much needed funds for McGrath Foundation. Bolstered by the support of major sponsor Shakespeare Partners and a host of other donors and sponsors including Phoenix, the day raised an amazing $42,000, taking the total over the past 8 years to more than $270,000.
Whilst the Curtin Wesley A Grade team donned their Pink Jumpers for the clash with Fremantle CBC, over 250 guests filled the Ladies and Men’s Marquees to enjoy a superb spread of food, drinks and entertainment. Master of Ceremonies, Nat Locke from Nova 937 kept things flowing through out the day and legendary auctioneer Tiny Holy ensured that the fundraising auction was a great success (with more than a touch of humor!).
The club was honored to have inspirational breast cancer survivor Nicole Gray share her story with us as well as having Tracy Bevan (founder of The McGrath Foundation) join us for the day.
Pink Tiger Day continues to be the largest fundraiser for The McGrath Foundation by any community sports club, Australia wide.
The club would like to extend a massive thank you to all sponsors, donors and volunteers who are an integral part of this amazing day!!
