Phoenix Insurance Brokers was once again proud to be a part of the Curtin University Wesley Football Clubs 7th Annual Pink Tiger Day.
Phoenix is a longtime supporter and supporter and one of the major sponsors of Curtin Uni Wesley who hosts Pink Tiger Day each year helping to raise much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation and breast cancer awareness.
This year’s Pink Tiger Day was held on Saturday 13 May at Curtin’s South Oval. The day raised an amazing $40,000, taking the total over the past 7 years to more than $230,000.
While the Curtin Wesley A Grade team donned their pink jumpers for the clash with Fremantle CBC, over 200 guests filled the ladies and men’s marquees to enjoy a superb spread of food, drinks and entertainment.
Master of Ceremonies was Nat Locke from Nova FM and auctioneer Tiny Holy ensured the auction was a great success.
The club was honoured to have McGrath Foundation founder Tracy Bevan join them who flew over from Sydney especially for the event. She spoke to the crowd about breast cancer awareness, the formative years of the Foundation and its ongoing achievements which includes funding the services of 113 full time breast care nurses across Australia, with a target to more than double this in the coming years.
Pink Tiger Day continues to be the largest fundraiser for The McGrath Foundation by any community sports club, Australia wide and Phoenix is delighted to support the event each year.
